Gordon Bleugh! (otherwise referred to as Gordon Bleurgh! or Gordon Blurgh!) is a 2001 Nicktoons short series, which aired from 2004 to 2005 in the United States. The shorts are claymation/stop motion in nature and are animated by Neville Buchanan. Several accounts describe this short as the misadventures of a claymation, anthropomorphic green frog in a chef's costume, often facing mishaps like malfunctioning equipment or a fly buzzing around the kitchen.

With the recent discovery of the Nicktoons shorts Hot Chunks and Schoolyard Safari, Gordon Bleugh! is the only not-fully-discovered Nicktoons short series in existence.

Plot

ToonZone Forum user "Classic Speedy" describes the plot of Gordon Bleugh!, in a post from April 28th, 2004:

"A chef cartoon: I forget the name, but it's another stop-motion short that involves the mayhem in the kitchen."[1]

Two days later, on April 30th, 2004, fellow ToonZone Forum user "magicjac" confirmed the name of the short as Gordon Bleugh!.[2]

Production

Neville Buchanan, creator of Gordon Bleugh!, describes the series' production, through LinkedIn:

"Director and Stop Frame Animator

GORDON BLEURGH! Directing Animation Editing and lighting for 3 episodes for NICKELODEONS Mad Frog GORON BLEURGH!

This work was undertaken in the A for Animation studios in Bristol. I used my own Stop Motion Equipment on the stage they provided to achieve this production."[3]

Mandy, the International Film & TV Production Service, notes that only three shorts were ever animated. These shorts continued airing through 2004 and into 2005.

Discoveries

On April 14th, 2015, Lost Media Wiki contributor RegShowPics discovered multiple pieces of media from Gordon Bleugh! from Neville Buchanan's official website. One is of a picture from the set of the short, which appears to be the aforementioned insect disrupting Gordon's kitchen.

Also discovered was a half-second clip from a 25th-anniversary montage video for A for Animation studios. The clip depicts Gordon calmly smashing a hammer down on an off-screen table. This was, for a while the only known footage of Gordon Bleugh!. The clip is at the 26-second mark of this video.

On December 9th, 2015, YouTuber "easportsbig899" uploaded a Nickelodeon UK advert video that contained the "Lobster" short.

On October 9th, 2016, wiki user CDCB uploaded the "Worms" short to his YouTube account named "CDCB2". He says he might have another one, involving pizza dough. On April 17th, 2017, YouTuber Elliot the Disney Historian uploaded "Gingerbread Men" to YouTube. Rendering the series as found.
