Balinese Slapping Fish was an animated short series that premiered in 1998 on Nickelodeon Australia. It was developed by Fudge Puppy Productions, who also worked on another series A Very Aggressive Vegetable.
The shorts start out with something happening then both the orange and green fish would end up appearing and slap each other in that given place, to the onlookers confusion. It ends with a group of kids saying the short's title to the viewer with the fish super imposed onto the background.
Availability
There were seven shorts produced, "Game Arcade," "Fear Of Flying," "Haunted House," "Olympics," "Gala Premiere," "Blast Off Top 5" and "Fright Night." While all of them were lost at one point, they were all uploaded onto YouTube sometime in 2015 by various users and as of 2021 they have since been privated.
By 2021 six of the shorts were found leaving "Blast Off Top 5" missing until November 2022 when it was uploaded onto the Internet Archive.
