To be honest, I found this lost media story rather upsetting. Goes to show just how most actors are on thin ice, especially in a role that would make them a national star. At least Fennell became a highly respected teacher years after this.

But interestingly, Jo Warne portrayed the character in 1991, having replaced Frances Cuka at the last moment! Windsor's auditions were also quite interesting and illustrated just how crucial landing the role was for her.

The reason? It was too realistic and may inspire real-life escapes from Portland! 1,200 feet of this 4,000 foot work had to be removed, which completely wrecked the film's structure and narrative.

It has since lost much of its appeal once its staged scenes were exposed, but a considerable proportion of the aftermath newsreel footage is unfortunately real. The original direction was to fill the film with 100% of these real scenes. Among these include the infamous cyclist footage, which is a mystery in its own right. Also, some footage was apparently pulled for legal reasons. current

It is stunning this film hasn't received an article on here until now, as it became the first ever feature-length production and changed the film industry forever. It also became the first recorded heavyweight championship clash, the bout being a pivotal step in boxing's popularity and acceptance. Hopefully, I have treated the subject matter with the in-depth analysis it absolutely deserves.

According to Bob Gale, Australia were concerned that Marty can be seen skitching onto various vehicles throughout the film. So much so that a PSA was created to warn against the practice! Remember, this was back when PSAs/PIFs treated viewers as if they were morons/pure deviants. Also, I somehow got to talk about Back to the Future and TAC Victoria in the same article... grand!

Most are probably aware of the other two animated "sex tapes", but this odd sketch, apparently in protest of changes to Tinker Bell's character post-Peter Pan, is relatively obscure in comparison. Does it exist? Well, it depends on how much you believe Jim Hill's story on it.
