Get Your Weight Off Of Me was a demo recorded by Michael Jackson during recording sessions for his album "Invincible." These sessions took place in 1997 and lasted until 2001. The exact year Get Your Weight Off Of Me was recorded hasn't been confirmed. The track was reworked and planned to be released on the Michael Jackson Ultimate Collection in 2004, but was scrapped yet again. It's assumed the song was considered for Michaels second posthumous album Xscape, but it again didn't make the cut[1]
Snippets of the song had been circulating on the internet since 2010, but it was never known for sure by the community what snippets were real or fake.
Availability
While it remains unknown how many copies are known to exist, the Michael Jackson Estate owns a copy and a CD with the date of March 31st, 2014 has the song on it. The song was auctioned in 2018, though nobody ended up buying it.[2] The date on the CD is the same day Xscape was announced.
The demo was leaked online and you can listen to it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVAQDXGy6iI
