Social Security System "Construction Worker" (found Philippine PSA about accident insurance; 1998)
The Social Security System (SSS) is a state-run, social insurance program in the Philippines to workers in the private, professional and informal sectors. In 1998, the SSS ran a PSA pertaining to accident insurance.
Info
The PSA shows a construction worker asking to his boss about the Social Security System. The construction worker then takes off his hard hat while the boss is not, who proposes the expansion of the company. The worker asks the boss what will happen to the former; the boss assures to the worker that nothing happens to the latter. Few floors above, another construction worker slips and accidentally drops the sledgehammer onto the construction worker's head, but the screen fades to black and we don't see the violent content.
Then, the male voice-over states "Pag ang batas ay sinuway mo, tatamaan ng sakit ng ulo (translate, 'if you violate the law, it will give you pain in the head')" followed by the gavel banging while the onscreen text displays "Failure to comply is punishable by law. Report non-complying employers." The PSA ends with the logo of the SSS with the text "Sa oras ng pangangailangan, SSS ('In times of need, SSS')".
A remade version was aired in 2004 with the same premise.
