Bartcasting was an event that took place on Fox Kids for a single day on November 2nd, 1996 to promote The Simpsons, specifically, the upcoming season at the time: Season 8. During the event, Bart Simpson had "taken control" of the Fox Kids satellite, and was now in control of the broadcasting. This amounted to Bart Simpson hosting the regular Fox Kids lineup of cartoons on that day along with the occasional Simpsons clip that aired during commercial breaks, leading up to a sneak peek at the season 8 premiere.

Availability

Since "Bartcasting" was a one-off promotion, these hosting segments had not been seen or aired since their initial airing on that Saturday, and there is very little information online about this event in general. On May 21st, 2022, YouTuber Joseph A. Sobora uploaded a compilation of Fox Kids commercials recorded on November 2nd, 1996, from WFLD-TV, Ch. 32 in Chicago, IL, including one of the previously lost Fox Kids "Bartcasting" bumpers.

On November 6th, 2022, all bumpers from the "Bartcasting" event were uploaded to YouTube by krudvid.
