Close to Home was a 1989-1990 British sitcom starring Paul Nicholas (Just Good Friends), Angharad Rees (Poldark), Lucy Benjamin (EastEnders) and Andrew Read (Jupiter Moon). Each episode featured James Shepherd's attempts to juggle life as the single father of two teenagers and a busy veterinarian. His attempts to find happiness with a new partner were frequently sabotaged by his ex-wife. It was written by Brian Cooke, best known as the creator of Three’s Company (which was an American version of his sitcom Man About the House).[1] It was produced for London Weekend Television and ran for 2 series from 1989 to 1990.[2]

In 2013, a short trailer for the show that was aired in 1989 was uploaded to YouTube by Benriggers.[3] Half of the first series and episode 1 of the second series were uploaded to Dailymotion in the following years.
