Each episode featured James Shepherd's attempts to juggle life as the single father of two teenagers and a busy veterinarian. His attempts to find happiness with a new partner were frequently sabotaged by his ex-wife. It was written by Brian Cooke, best known as the creator of Three’s Company (which was an American version of his sitcom Man About the House).[1] It was produced for London Weekend Television and ran for 2 series from 1989 to 1990.[2]

In 2019, half of the first series and episode 1 of the second series were uploaded to Dailymotion.

One year later, the complete series began re-airing on Forces TV in the UK. Vvmax managed to obtain the episodes in master-tape quality from their Forces TV airings, but he hasn’t posted them due to private reasons.
