"Melanie Martinez" (previously known as "Melmartinezx3") is Melanie Martinez's official YouTube channel. It was created on November 3rd, 2007, before she began her musical career.

Although most of these old videos are lost, some were successfully archived on the Wayback Machine and others resurfaced from fans. Some re-uploads only saved the audio, however, leaving the video portions lost.

Background

Melanie originally created her account as "Melmartinezx3" on November 3rd, 2007, but only began posting the following year, with only two known videos being uploaded in 2008. The first was a cover of "Follow Me" by Uncle Kracker, and the second was a cover of "How to Save a Life" by The Fray.

From 2009 to 2010, Melanie started posting covers more frequently. During this time frame, she also began uploading her own original songs, with her first known original being titled "hey alice." She uploaded less frequently in 2011, assumedly to focus on her brief career as a photography under her own company named "Little Body Big Heart," which later had its activities closed.

In 2012, Melanie deleted/privated most of her old videos, only keeping a handful of covers, such as "My Heart," and her original song "Smoke," though she continued uploading new videos. Later that year, Melanie participated in the third season of The Voice, where she made it to the top six before being eliminated. She continued to update her channel after she was sent home.

In 2013, she once again deleted/privated all of her old videos. She uploaded fans' recordings of her live performances and continued to upload new covers as well. In 2014, she changed her username to her real name, turned the channel into her official music account, and deleted the rest of the videos she created prior to the Dollhouse music video.
