Oh yeah, other thing, I showed Paul the clip we have and he confirmed that it was just an interstitial segment for commercial breaks, and also explained that the interstitials actually came before the idea for the special.

he said that Kenny originally started out as just those 30-second segments for breaks, and it was only later on that they decided to pilot it as a live-action sitcom-type deal (a.k.a the half-hour special).

So, it's technically not from the special, but I guess it's pretty related? I feel like the actual special can't be that far off from this. I don't think we could really give the interstitials their own page anyway, not really significant enough and I don't even know how many of them were made

One more thing: he mentioned a guy named Jim Jenkins (not to be confused with Doug creator Jim Jinkins) who apparently helped write/create the character and had a significant role in production. He's now a commercial director and has a company called O Positive. I'm currently attempting to get in touch with him as well, if possible.
