The Ten Commandments are a set of biblical principles that is said to be revealed by God to Moses. It is a set of morals that are fundamental both to Judaism and Christianity.

A commercial about The Ten Commandments were said to be aired in the Philippines on the network IBC-13. It was said to be unsettling due to its content and its showing of the Eye of Providence.

Premise

The Eye of Providence was said to be shown in the start.[1] It mentioned each 10 commandment, wherein it shows video clips demonstrating each of them. The video clips were said to be ripped from the docudrama "Nostradamus: The Man Who Saw Tomorrow."[2] There is also a voiceover speaking, in two versions where he is speaking in Filipino and another version speaking in English.

The ending shows the Eye of Providence floating from top to the middle of the background with shooting star or starburst-like (lines shooting from the front) effect in the background. The words ""Suriin mo ang iyong sarili" was then spoken by the voiceover.[2][1]

Availability

The ad was exclusively aired during Andrea Amor on IBC-13 in 1986 to 1987.[3]

The ad was mentioned on The Spooky Advertisements Group and the Philippine Advertisement History Group where several people recalled the commercial as unsettling due to the Eye of Providence being shown.
