| '''slight tangent:''' its disappointing seeing how dire the preservation situation is for many of these old MTV and VH1 shows. uploaders on youtube must resort to cutting out footage/muting portions of audio of several shows (eg. BTM and Legends) just so viacom does not take them down. even worse, when trying to upload these shows to archive.org, viacom can still take them down for whatever reason. while personally all i can do is download episodes of these shows from youtube uploads, it is painful to see so many of these old shows not being given the proper archive treatment, especially since some of them were the hallmark programming of their respective channels at the time (eg. BTM and Pop Up Video for VH1).
