Starter Squad is a parody animated series created by Shippiddge that started on July 13, 2013. It is a parody series based on Pokemon, with original stories (most notably in Episode 9 and 10). The episodes usually release every 1-2 years, making them very time consuming to animate. With this time, various earlier scripts and concepts of the episodes were mostly scrapped and are never seen in the final product.

Availability

Several alternate scripts for various episodes can be found on Shippiddge's Patreon in which can be viewed by paying $10 a month, while some are released by Shippiddge himself on his Discord server. Many of them show various early scenes that didn't make it to the final product.

The scenes themselves were not animated, and were scrapped after various re-writes to the scripts that the episodes would later use.

Early Episode 10 Script

An earlier script for "The Legend of Blue Shell Man Guy" has been released by Shippiddge on his Discord server in the "Pre-Production Videos And Images" thread internally named "Everstone" has 2 scenes that didn't make it in the final product. Such as one flashback scene with Squirtle and Leader Caterpie talking about the deal in the previous episode, and a scene where Squirtle, Chimchar, and Turtwig are telling spooky stories. Also Squirtle previously was supposed to wield a spear that he would use as a cane, that didn't appear in the final product.
