Since the fourth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, footage has been filmed of all finalists winning the season, with the actual winner not being revealed until the season finale has aired and the winner's crowning is edited in. This was due to a March 1, 2011 article by Perez Hilton in which he leaked the season 3 winner.[1] Since season 4, this filming method has been used to prevent spoilers being leaked.
On August 1, 2016, the YouTube account Paulo Chaves uploaded footage of season 8 finalists Kim Chi and Naomi Smalls being crowned,[2] making this the first time this type of footage has been leaked. Since then, on June 6, 2019, footage was once again uploaded to YouTube by user Ulicornio, this time of season 11 finalist Brooke Lynn Hytes walking with the sceptre, though her winning speech has yet to be found.[3]
This production strategy was also adopted for the series spin-off RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars, since the series' second season. On July 23, 2020, just a day before the fifth season finale aired, Reddit user u/heyflops666 posted still shots of each of the finalists winning to r/SpoiledDragRace. Since the finale aired, finalists Jujubee and Miz Cracker have yet to have their winning speeches released.

Alternate Lipsyncs
To avoid spoilers involving final runner ups, alternate lipsyncs for the crown could have been filmed (based on the queens' reactions watching the final episode of each season). Those lipsync's existence has yet to confirm.
