Ninku is an anime series based on the Shonen Jump manga of the same name. It follows 12-year old ninja captain Fuusuke and his group of fellow ninja captains searching for his long lost mother. The anime aired in Japan on Fuji TV from January 14th, 1995, until February 24th, 1996, with a total of 55 episodes. In 2006, an English dub of the series aired on Animax in Asia and India. Very little is known about the English dub due to lack of known information regarding it being available, with no footage being online.

History

According to a thread on TechenClave, the dub premiered on Animax on July 5th, 2006 in Asia,[1] however the show is listed on Animax Asia's website as early as April of that same year,[2] so it can be assumed it premiered around April-July on the channel. According to various off-hand reports from people who have seen the dub, it was of sub-par quality, being done by the same team as the Animax dubs for Fushigi Yugi and Flame of Recca, which were of similar quality and featured the same cast.[3] It is reported that it aired at-least until 2008.[4]

Availability

No episodes of the English dub have surfaced since the show stopped airing. As mentioned above, very little is known about it, it's not even known what country or studio produced it.
