Status: Partially found

Mission Hill first aired in 1999 on The WB, and was put on hiatus after two episodes were aired due to poor ratings. Five more episodes were aired in the summer of 2000, but The WB cancelled the series before the rest of the first season could be aired. After its cancellation, the remaining six episodes were aired on Adult Swim in 2002. The show grew to have a cult following, leading to a DVD release of the first season, and plans for a spinoff centered around Gus and Wally, two of the show's supporting characters.

It was revealed after the cancellation that eighteen episodes were planned for the first season, but only thirteen were completed. The remaining five episodes had all of their scripts completely written, but were never animated. However, animatics for some of the episodes were in production at the time of the cancellation. The animatics that were completed were initially going to be included as special features on the DVD for the series, but they were pulled out at the last minute. Fan-run website Mission Hill Online was able to obtain a partial animatic for Episode 15 and a complete animatic of Episode 16 with a script read-through by the creators and voice actors, both of which have been uploaded to YouTube. It is unknown whether animatics for the other episodes or the rest of Episode 15 were completed before the series was cancelled.
