How and Why was a comedy TV pilot written and directed by Charlie Kaufman who previously wrote the films “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and “Synecdoche, New York”. The show would have starred John Hawkes, Michael Cera, Sally Hawkins and Catherine Keener.[1][2] The pilot was filmed in 2014 for the television network FX, but was not picked up and remains only partially available.
