Gerbert is a show about a chicken-nugget-shaped puppet child that teaches life lessons for children. In its first season, it was Christian themed, however, it was broadcast on secular television without the Christian themes. It aired on the Freeform (then the Christian Broadcasting Network) from February 15, 1988 to December 25, 1991, and was also sold as a direct-to-video series in Wal-Mart and Christian book stores. It has aired on Christian television stations and networks continuously since its 1988 debut. The secular version also briefly aired on PBS during the early 1990s.
