Status: Partially Found

Enos was an CBS-produced TV series created as a spin-off of The Dukes of Hazzard that aired from November 12, 1980 until May 20, 1981. [1]

Premise

The show follows Deputy Enos Strate from the Hazzard County sherriff's department. After catching a nationally wanted criminal, he is invited to join the Los Angeles Police Department. He partners up with Turk Adams and by combining Enos' small-town strategies with Turk's big-city know-how, they become an unstoppable duo.[2]

Conservation

The episodes were only confirmed to have aired one time each on CBS from 1980 to 1981 with unconfirmed reports of reruns in later years. At the time, VCRs were not as affordable and commonplace as they were even into the mid 1980s, so the episode recordings that exist are low quality recordings on Beta tapes.

The main character's actor (Sonny Shroyer) has confirmed that he has most if not all of the episodes on tape and has uploaded small clips to his YouTube channel. [3] Through direct emails, he has stated that he would love for the episodes to be released publicly, and that CBS does still have the original reels needed to create a restored version. However, according to Sonny, there is not currently enough public interest to warrant CBS spending the money to restore and release it on any kind of home video or on-demand.
