It's kinda unusual that they had this project going, cancelled it after spending obviously a lot of time trying to develop the concept, and then later came out with a show with a very similar concept for their Disney XD network.... Could be completely unrelated apart from trying to show the dwarves' backstories, but I wouldn't put it past Disney to do stuff like that...
