so there’s a subsequent 1910 film called “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” that was based on a 1902 musical of the same name. Baum made it in an attempt to meet contractual obligations he couldn’t keep with this first film. Interestingly enough, there are two sequels after “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” that, by all accounts, are lost as well: “Dorothy and the Scarecrow of Oz” and “The Land of Oz”.
