Captain Harlock and the Queen of a Thousand Years is an animated science fiction television series produced by Harmony Gold USA. The series was created by Carl Macek by combining footage from Leiji Matsumoto’s Captain Harlock and Queen Millennia anime series.[1]
Status
Unlike with most of Harmony Gold's other releases (especially Robotech), Captain Harlock and the Queen of a Thousand Years never had any home video releases, and the only video copies that exist are original TV broadcasts.
A man known as Fer wrote in a blog post from 2009 that he received 63 of the 65 episodes of the series in a trade. It is unknown if these episodes have been or will ever be publicly shared.[2]
It was later revealed that the entirety of the series was already found in an archive from MySpleen, and while a majority of the episodes seem to be complete, some of the episodes seem to have some minutes missing from them, in addition to them being in low quality.
