The film was released for free on Vimeo on the 19th of June 2018 by the account “The Eyeslicer” and was a Vimeo Staff Pick. The film was later removed from Vimeo for unknown reasons. Jane Schoenbrun later directed, wrote and edited the film We’re All Going to the World’s Fair (2021) which received a wide release.[1][2][3][4][5]

Availability

There may be no plans to put the movie on video on demand services as Jane has said “I have no desire to profit from it, or to commodify it in a traditional sense. It feels too personal to me to do that.” The film was screened at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) on the 10th of April 2022 where Jane Schoenbrun did a Q&A.[2][6]

On February 1st, 2023, FileSavingArchivistOfMovingImageThings, uploaded the whole documentary to the Internet Archive, including its three video resolutions that came from an archived download link of the film, rendering the entire documentary found.
