Big & Small is a puppet comedy TV series that was co-produced by 3J's Productions and Kindle Entertainment that ran on CBeebies from 2008-2011.[1] The series about 2 polar opposite friends, a big patient purple puppet named Big and his friend a small raucous orange puppet name Small that live in a house with their other friends a pink mouse name Ruby and a green worm name Twiba. The show was created to help teach children the values of friendship.
Synopsis
In the series, the 2 characters do various activities, with their differences in personalities that end up getting into a conflict that eventually ends up get resolved at the end. Each episode has original music composed for it.
Status
DVD Releases
After the show concluded, the series fell into obscurity with only 3 official DVD releases by ITV,[2] the first DVD We're Big And Small! which contains the episodes "Something Is Missing," "A Door For Small," "Fish Wish," "There's A Space For Small," "A Piece Of Cake," "The Worm In Big's Apple," "The Case Of The Missing Dinosaur" and "Stormy Weather."
The second one Starry Starry Night containing "Playing By The Rules," "A Sound Idea," "Rain Dance," "My Friend Fang," "Starry Starry Night," "Bad Luck Machine," "The Big Sneeze" and "The Mysterious Woods."
The third The Biggest Story containing "The Biggest Story," "Small, Small Let Down Your Hair," "Boingo Boys," "The Rainbow," "The Scare-Small" and "The Box."
There was a compilation DVD titled The CBeebies Collection Vol. 1 that contained the episode "Moon Race."
Online Uploads
Over the years more episodes were uploaded online, some of them were uploaded by the Big & Small official YouTube channel and others were uploaded to various YouTube and archive.org accounts. Some uploads like "Dream Team" are missing the last minute of the episode and others like "Opposite Day" only have the song segment for said episode. Although various foreign dubs of the missing episodes resurfaced, some of the original British dub episodes are still missing.
