Serafín, el ángel de la guarda

Status: Partially Found

Serafín is a Mexican children's Telenovela produced by José Alberto Castro for Televisa, and shown on "Canal de Las Estrellas", it ran for 80 episodes between August 30 and December 17, 1999, replacing the broadcast of "El niño que vino del mar" and being replaced by "Cuento de navidad". Was the first mexican telenovela to make use of CGl in the creation of characters[1] Starring Maribel Guardia, Eduardo Santamarina, Jordi Landeta as the child protagonist and María Fernanda Morales as dubbing Serafín [2]

Premise

Due to his antics in heaven, Seraphim was sent to earth to learn how to be a real guardian angel. At first he must be invisible to humans, except for those who he wants to appear, like the boy Pepe of whom he became protector and friend. Pepe is the son of Carmen and stepson of Raul, he is always ready to help anyone in need. Sensitive, tender and affectionate, he suffers from his stepfather's rejection but his friendship with the boys at the club and the angel Seraphim will help him follow the best path for his little heart. [3]

Availability

Despite being highly successful to the point of receiving awards, being distributed around other latinamerican countries, being the only telenovela from univisa to have a spin off movie and a stage musical.[4] Still is the only kid's Telenovela to never been reprised, nor is disponible in any other format of media, streaming service or anything. Is believed that the reason for that is the lawsuit that Patricia Martínez Romani reported against the channel claiming copyrights for the character. [5]
