Before Season 4 of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends premiered, a VHS tape called "Rock 'n' Roll and Other Stories" was released. It featured eight stories from the season, including "Granpuff", "A Bad Day for Sir Handel", and the titular "Rock 'n' Roll". Some differences between them and the officially released versions include some music and sound effects missing in scenes and different takes of Michael Angelis' lines being used.
