Given the popularity of the show in France and the audience it received at the time, it is likely that someone has a recording of the missing episodes, especially given the fact some episodes have been uploaded to the Internet.

Despite its popularity, relatively rare are the people who are interested enough in the show to know that this season is partially lost, which means it is very possible that someone who has the footage doesn't know how rare it is.
Thus, there is hope in finding them, probably via a French citizen who recorded TV shows at the time.
