Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego was a american game show based on the "Carmen Sandiego" computer game series that premiered on PBS on September 30, 1991 and ended December 22, 1995. The show was a massive success, winning seven daytime Emmys and being nominated for 23 and has been called the "crown jewel" of the Carmen Sandiego series by NerdHQ.[1] The show was hosted by Greg Lee and had a chief who was played by the late Lynne Thigpen. 295 episodes were record and all of them have aired, except for one.

Production

The episode in question was called "Aud Lang Gone" and was unaired due to what happened in the final part of the episode. The contestant Jasmine Doman was doing the final round of the game called "Carmen's Word Map" and broke her arm and production stopped and the runner-up Ed Mann ended up finishing the round in 13 seconds.[2] The issues the episode ran into didn't stop there. Sean Atlman (from Rockapella) ripped Greg's jacket, Lynne had a sore throat so Greg took over as Chief and Double Dare host Marc Summers took over hosting duties for the rest of the episode. Actor Gene Wilder also appeared in the episode in a unknown role.[3] The episode went unedited.
