The Young Girls of Rochefort (French: Les Demoiselles de Rochefort), is a 1967 French musical comedy film directed by Jacques Demy, starring sisters Catherine Deneuve and Françoise Dorléac, with George Chakiris, Grover Dale, Jacques Perrin, Danielle Darrieux, and Gene Kelly. The film is Demy's second musical film, following the success of 1964's The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. While not quite as successful as that film, it was still a hit in its native country, and also garnered an Academy Award nomination for Best Scoring of a Musical Picture.

The version of the film that was originally theatrically released in the United States was an English-language dub, that was shot simultaneously with the original French-language version. While all the musical numbers were shot in both English and French, the rest of the film was not. [1] While the film was a hit when released in France, the English-language version released in America was not commercially successful.[2] To date, the English dub of the film has not been released on home video.

Only two musical numbers from this version, both sourced from low-quality television recordings, as well as an extremely rare LP of the English-language soundtrack, have resurfaced.
