"The World's Biggest Treasure Hunt" was a 2007 web game and promotional contest launched alongside Walt Disney Pictures' National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets, and Presented by Mercedes-Benz. The webpage was once hosted on http://www.nationaltreasure.com

In the game, players were "able to drive the Mercedes C-Class in car chases and scavenger hunts or use its Mercedes-branded navigation system to play a puzzle game in virtual replicas of London and New York," according to The Hollywood Reporter, in an article written by Gail Schiller dated December 12th, 2007.

The promotion featured a partnership with Odyssey Marine Exploration, where players could pilot its Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) Zues, to find lost treasure aboard the Confederate vessel USS Republic, according to MarketingMovies.net author Robert Marich.

Real treasure excavated from the Civil War-era ship were promised to contest winners, with the grand prize winner receiving a 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class filled with the treasure of the USS Republic.
