The Upside Down Show was a Nick Jr. show created by the Australian comedy duo known as "The Umbilical Brothers", Shane Dundas and David Collins. Made for Noggin, Nickelodeon's joint effort with Sesame Workshop, the show was created in an attempt to appeal to both young children and adults with its surrealist humor and very small mix of adult-orientated jokes.

The show was very short-lived, being aired as only one season comprised of 13 22-minute long episodes. Although Nick was not interested in renewing the series for a second season, a finale TV movie, known as The Upside Down Movie, was planned. It would have served as a complete closure to the series.

Production

After the show wasn't picked up for a second season, The Umbilical Brothers began working on the finale movie in 2008. They announced the script had begun development on their Facebook page.[1]

Although Nickelodeon had provided the funding for writing the script, they still needed more funding to begin filming. Despite efforts to start petitions, this never ended up happening.

Availability

After over a decade, the movie still hasn't been made, although the duo has been reported to still be interested in making it as late as 2017.[2] It doesn't seem like this will happen, however, and as of now the finished script still remains in the dark.
