The 1983 NBC promo, featuring clips from the pilot.

The Snorks is an animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera which ran on NBC from September 15, 1984, to May 13, 1989. The series was created by Belgian cartoonist Nic Broca as a competitor of The Smurfs, after Broca went into troubles with Peyo, author of the original German Smurfs comics. Before that, a three-minute pilot was produced.

The Pilot

Not much is really known about this pilot. It featured two unknown Snorks (most likely background characters) that didn't apparently make it into the show.

The pilot was never fully shown to the public. Clips from it can be seen in a promotional spot they had for the NBC Saturday Morning kids' block with Alvin and the Chipmunks singing. It had clips from various shows including The Snorks.
