Though the motives for the show's cancellation is unknown, it is likely that the 1989 holdup of a Domino's restaurant by Kenneth Lamar Noid (a mentally ill man who thought the Noid advertisements were personal attacks on him) played a factor in ensuring the show's disappearance.
