Status: Existence Unconfirmed

The Eggs is an Australian-Canadian animated children's TV series created by Brendan Byrne for Nine Network. The series ran from 2004 to 2008 and gained a cult following. Xploshi, a YouTuber, helped the series get known by making memes about it and the characters. Specifically, Scramble. The series has been often criticized for poor animation styles and awful jokes and plots. The series revolves around 4 Eggs named Yolky, Sunny, Benedict, and Scramble going on adventures from the planet Kazoo with their companion, Shelley. The whole series itself was also lost until Xploshi archived the whole series through Google Drive. The series was animated by Funbag Entertainment, who at the time also animated other shows for Nine Network.

The Pilot

By many, it has been supposedly stated that a pilot was filmed for the eggs back in 2000 being pitched to Nine Network. The pilot would've supposedly featured real actors in live uncanny-looking egg costumes, similar to Me and My Friends. The pilot also supposedly featured many more eggs and was apparently filmed and created by B & T Entertainment. Many have criticized the style for being really creepy with the costumes that appeared on a soundtrack cover. The characters were Skegg, Florentine, Poach, Fried, Rotten, Googy, Gregg, Benedict, Scramble, and Sunnyside. Out of the 10, only Benedict, Scramble, and Sunnyside, plus 1 more, Yolky, would actually be used in the final series.

Availability

No known footage or photos of the pilot have been found, and no one knows if a pilot actually existed or was filmed for the series in this form. All that's survived the test of time is an internal soundtrack, and some art used for trademarking the series.[1] It has also been stated that the soundtrack went missing too, but it was found on August 1, 2022. So it is just speculation on what could be in this supposed pilot episode. If the pilot was produced, it would take quite a bit of searching to find it. If the pilot were to surface it would be if a creator was contacted about its existence.
