{{InfoboxFound |title=<center>Spider-Man 4 (video game)</center> |image=Spider-Man 4 Poster.jpg |imagecaption=The teaser poster for the cancelled movie. |status=<span style="color:green;">'''Found'''</span> (Wii version)<br><span style="color:green;">'''Found'''</span> (Xbox 360 Version) |datefound=01 Dec 2019 (Wii version)<br>11 Sept 2021 (Xbox 360 version) |foundby=[https://twitter.com/AndrewEarley7 Andrew Earley], [https://archive.org/details/@diskhacker DiskHacker], [https://youtube.com/channel/UCiLfWaIDo-4aLiN-ZcSMd-g Obscure Gamers]}} ''Spider-Man 4'' was the name of both a cancelled fourth entry in the Sam Raimi ''Spider-Man'' trilogy and '''a cancelled video game created to coincide with the movie's release'''. Tobey Maguire would have most likely returned for the role of Spider-Man and Peter Parker for both the movie and the video game, considering the fact that he was in the previous games. ==Gameplay== The game would have featured an open-world hub based on New York City for players to swing around. The Daily Bugle building would have also been present in the game however it is unknown if it would have been a level or used for cutscenes. The game would have possibly featured crimes and collectibles in the New York hub, with evidence of this is with the minimap and the fact that previous games both based on movies and original games featured collectibles and side-missions as bonuses. ==Cancellation/Availability== The movie was cancelled due to the fact that Sam Raimi did not think that he could make the film in time for summer while making sure that it was still creative.<ref>[https://denofgeek.com/movies/spider-man-4/39659/how-sam-raimis-spider-man-4-would-have-panned-out Article which gave a reason for the game's cancellation.] Retrieved 25 Jun '19</ref> Because of the fact that the game was based on the movie, it was cancelled. According to Wayne Dalton, elements of the game were recycled into the game ''Prototype 2'' largely because of the detailed New York City model they had already created for. This also tells us that the studio behind the game was Radical Entertainment. He has also stated that there is no video footage of the game.<ref>[https://wayne_dalton.artstation.com/projects/nQvlRO?album_id=1206091 Wayne Dalton's Artstation page, which features the screenshots.] Retrieved 24 Jun '19</ref> To this day, there are only limited information and 29 in-game screenshots online. Even if a new ''Spider-Man 4'' film and game are created, it most likely would not be this version. On September 10th, 2019, a Twitter user known as [https://web.archive.org/web/20210315211955/https://twitter.com/AndrewEarley7 @andrewEarley7] reported on his findings of the game and some screenshots of the game<ref>[https://web.archive.org/web/20201225203214/https://twitter.com/AndrewEarley7/status/1171259881602420736 The Twitter post about the game.] Retrieved 01 Dec '19</ref><ref>[https://web.archive.org/web/20201222170348/https://twitter.com/AndrewEarley7/status/1172342877059371010 The second Twitter post about the game.] Retrieved 01 Dec '19</ref> On November 30th, 2019, A YouTuber Hard4Games uploaded a video featuring gameplay and the debug menu of the unreleased Wii version of the game. The next day on December 1st, 2019, the game was uploaded onto the Internet Archive by user DiskHacker<ref>[https://archive.org/details/spider-man-4-wii-unreleased The download link to the game.] Retrieved 01 Dec '19</ref> The screenshots of the game uploaded by Wayne Dalton, however, are screenshots from a different version of the game. Evidence for this is that there is a different model used for Spider-Man and a different HUD. It is unknown however many other versions exist of the game. The Xbox 360 version of the game was leaked from several sources on September 11th, 2021 by Obscure Gamers.<ref>[https://obscuregamers.com/builddb/spider-man_4/ Obscure Gamers BuildDB page of the game.] Retrieved 29 Oct '21</ref> ==Gallery== {{Video|perrow =3 |service1 =youtube |id1 =rEVe_s-mX-0 |description1 =Hard4Gamers video on the Wii version. |service2 =youtube |id2 =r7jn76O1FlA |description2 =Gameplay video (Wii version). |service3 =youtube |id3 =0Cv8CjMLTdc |description3 =Gameplay video (Xbox 360 version). }} ===New York=== <gallery mode=packed heights=175px> File:Spider-Man 4.jpg|Possible side mission File:Spider-Man 4_1.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_2.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_3.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_4.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_5.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_6.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_7.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_8.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_9.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_10.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_11.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_12.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_13.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_14.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_15.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_16.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_17.jpg </gallery> ===The Daily Bugle=== <gallery mode=packed heights=175px> File:Spider-Man 4_18.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_19.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_20.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_21.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_22.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_23.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_24.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_25.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_26.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_27.jpg File:Spider-Man 4_28.jpg </gallery> ===Wii Version=== <gallery mode=packed heights=175px> File:Spider-Man 4 Wii 1.jpg File:Spider-Man 4 Wii 2.jpg File:Spider-Man 4 Wii 3.jpg File:Spider-Man 4 Wii 4.jpg File:Spider-Man 4 Wii 5.jpg File:Spider-Man 4 Wii 6.jpg File:Spider-Man 4 Wii 7.jpg File:Spider-Man 4 Wii 8.jpg </gallery> ==See Also (Movies)== *[[Spider-Man Trilogy (partially found deleted scenes of action-superhero films; 2002-2007)]] *[[The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (partially found deleted Mary-Jane Watson scenes of superhero film; 2014)]] *[[Spider-Man versus Kraven the Hunter (lost short superhero fan film; 1974)]] ==See Also (Other)== *[[Spider-Man: The Venom Factor (lost unreleased Spider-Man PC game, 1996-1997)]] *[[Spider-Man: The New Animated Series "Geldhoff" (lost storyboards of cancelled episode of MTV animated series; 2003)]] *[[Spider-Man (lost Josh Keaton vocal performance of film-based superhero game; 2002)]] *[[Spider-Man Safety Series (partially found direct-to-video animated educational series; 1990)]] *[[The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (lost Josh Keaton vocal performance of 2D animated series; 2012)]] =References= {{reflist}} [[Category:Found media]]
