Granted, I've never seen it, but since it's supposedly a psychological horror film, there's a chance that it could be scary even if the premise sounds really dumb. Likely it's more about the characters and examining in detail how the main guy goes insane, and the mushroom thing is just sort of a vehicle to show it happening. Probably it was more of a subtly unnerving type scary than a "shit-your-pants" type scary. Of course, that's assuming that it's not terrible. EDIT: I've seen other sources also refer to it as a comedy and a satire, so at this point I really don't know how seriously to take it. Either way, I want to see it. |
