Revision as of 10:26, 27 January 2021

"On the Hunt" is the name of our new series of focused searches for admin-designated topics (user voting is sometimes involved, but it's ultimately the decision of the admin leading that particular search). Each On the Hunt search will last for a few months, or sooner if the media in question is found (or if all leads have been exhausted and search progress has definitively come to a standstill).

If you'd like to join in, please check out the #on-the-hunt channels on our Discord server!

On the Hunt 1: Super Mario 64 Big Star Secret (YouTube screamer prank from 2007)

Videos

Mahvl's video on the screamer, which sparked the search.

A 2008 reaction video containing half a minute of the screamer in low resolution camera footage.

Creator found, with proof provided in the form of additional screenshots. This hunt is more or less complete, though the creator said he would try to find the Xbox devkit he was making the game on (when he gets the chance to look for it/dig it out of storage, ie. after things go back to normal and travel restrictions are removed).

On the Hunt 4: The lost "biblical" Subway commercial (local South Central Pennsylvania commercial; 1995-1996)
