'''UmJammer Lammy''' is a rhythm-based game that was released in 1999. It was a follow up to the PlayStation classic ''Parappa the Rapper'', which was released in 1996. The game follows a very shy lamb named Lammy who wakes up only to find that she has 15 minutes to get to her band's debut concert.
'''''UmJammer Lammy''''' (also known as Um Jammer Lammy) is a rhythm-based video game that launched on the Playstation on March 18th, 1999, in Japan. It was a follow-up to the video game ''Parappa the Rapper'', which was released on the same console in 1996. To promote ''UmJammer Lammy,'' a website titled ''Milkcan.com'' was created. The website contained music, wallpapers, exclusive videos, and more centred around the game and its characters. Despite the website's old age, almost all of the content featured on the site has been archived. However, there exists promotional material in the form of animated interviews that were lost. ==Interviews==
''Milkcan.com'' was a promotional website for the game ''UmJammer Lammy.'' ''McTV'' (''Milkcan TV'') was the second page on the website, where the viewer could watch four special animations. These animations were made exclusively for the website, not only as a way to advertise the game but as a way to advertise a new album titled ''Make it Sweet!'' In these animations, interviews are being held with each individual member of Milkcan, the fictitious band of ''UmJammer Lammy.'' There is also a fourth interview with an "unknown" individual, although the website makes it quite clear that it's the character Chop Chop Master Onion. Out of the four interviews, three have been recovered, those being Katy Kat's, Lammy's, and Ma-San's interviews. The interviews themselves are extremely short, only clocking in at under twenty seconds each.

''Milkcan.com'' was created in 2000 and was shut down in 2001. It was surprisingly popular, as there was a Shout! option where you could post your thoughts or emails about the game. There were about 20-25 commenters in both English and Japanese who posted their feedback.
Sources such as the ''Parappa The Rapper'' Wiki claimed that characters Lammy and Ma-San each gave their reason to buy the album ''Make it Sweet!'' As the character Ma-San speaks in gibberish, it was unknown what her reason for buying the album was. Lammy simply thought that the album was good. The Wiki provided no sources for their claims, however, so prior to Lammy and Ma-San's interviews being recovered, no definite information on their content was available. No information has been provided as to what could have been in Chop Chop Master Onion's interview.

''McTV'' (''Milkcan TV'') is the second page to the Milkcan website, where the user can see three individual interviews with each band member, and a special interview with an unknown person, which can only be Chop Chop Master Onion since he appears on the TV screen. One interview has been recovered, and that's Katy Kat's interview.

===English Dojo===
==External Links==
''English Dojo'' is the third page to the Milkcan website. The game was to help Japanese speakers understand the English lyrics in the Make It Sweet!/I Scream! albums or soundtrack. Displayed under the paragraph explaining what the page was for, each song from the game or albums were listed. All a user had to do was click the song and it would take the user to the lyrics, one side English and the other side Japanese.

===Oken'n Roll===
''Oken'n Roll'' is the fourth page on the Milkcan website. This was a special karaoke feature for the Milkcan - Make it Sweet! the album, all the user had to do was pop the CD into a computer CD drive, and it would display the lyrics onto the screen-player on the page. The lyrics were in Japanese, so it is assumed that this page was for people who had trouble understanding the English lyrics.

===Shout!===
''Shout!'' is the fifth page of the Milkcan website. It was a way for people to share their info and opinions on Milkcan, the music, the game, or anything else. In order to 'Shout,' the user would need to put in their name, age, gender, email, title, and the most important part, the thoughts on the topic. There were rules that users needed to follow for this, rules are stated below from the website:

*No stuff that gives out the answers to the game, allowed. It just takes away the fun from those who are enjoying the game right now. If you just gotta write about it, Say so in your title, so those of us who don't wanna know can just skip it. No fighting. We just wanna ask everybody not to write anything mean or hostile to any and everyone out there.
*No plagiarism. If what you write and say belongs to someone else, just don't write it.
*No business or commercial activities allowed. No trading of any sort allowed.
*No election campaigns allowed. AND please don't start scouting people to any organization of any sort.
*No pornography or any X-rated stuff allowed. We don't want our children getting any ideas.
*If you think what you write might be against the Japanese law, try to refrain from writing it.
*Last, of all, we just want to tell you all to be nice and have a great time.

===Friends===
''Friends'' is the sixth page to the Milkcan website. The page listed the affiliates to the website, such as an official website for ''UmJammer Lammy'' that was on the PlayStation website for awhile, but it seems that it was taken down as well. Other affiliates that were taken down include the Japanese Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) corporate website, and a link to the art developer's website, which is still active.<ref>[http://whimsyload.com/ The art developer's website who helped create the game.] Retrieved 30 May '18</ref>

===Candy===
''Candy'' is the seventh page on the Milkcan website. This page shows three files that a user could print out. One is of the ''UmJammer Lammy Now!'' arcade game, one is of the bands playing up on stage, and one is of a 'rare' American advertisement from a PS1 magazine.

===Solider===
''Solider'' is the eighth and last page on the Milkcan website, It's to credit those who worked on the Umjammer Lammy soundtrack and Make It Sweet!/I scream albums.

UmJammer Lammy (also known as Um Jammer Lammy) is a rhythm-based video game that launched on the Playstation on March 18th, 1999, in Japan. The story is about a guitarist named Lammy, who spends the duration of the story trying to make it to her band's debut concert. It was a follow-up to the video game Parappa the Rapper, which was released on the same console in 1996. To promote UmJammer Lammy, a website titled Milkcan.com was created. The website contained music, wallpapers, exclusive videos, and more centred around the game and its characters. Despite the website's old age, almost all of the content featured on the site has been archived. However, there exists promotional material in the form of animated interviews that were lost. As of 2022, one of the four interviews have not been found.

Interviews

Milkcan.com was a promotional website for the game UmJammer Lammy. McTV (Milkcan TV) was the second page on the website, where the viewer could watch four special animations. These animations were made exclusively for the website, not only as a way to advertise the game but as a way to advertise a new album titled Make it Sweet! In these animations, interviews are being held with each individual member of Milkcan, the fictitious band of UmJammer Lammy. There is also a fourth interview with an "unknown" individual, although the website makes it quite clear that it's the character Chop Chop Master Onion. Out of the four interviews, three have been recovered, those being Katy Kat's, Lammy's, and Ma-San's interviews. The interviews themselves are extremely short, only clocking in at under twenty seconds each.

Sources such as the Parappa The Rapper Wiki claimed that characters Lammy and Ma-San each gave their reason to buy the album Make it Sweet! As the character Ma-San speaks in gibberish, it was unknown what her reason for buying the album was. Lammy simply thought that the album was good. The Wiki provided no sources for their claims, however, so prior to Lammy and Ma-San's interviews being recovered, no definite information on their content was available. No information has been provided as to what could have been in Chop Chop Master Onion's interview.

Availability

As stated previously, Milkcan.com was archived extremely well despite its old age. Although the Wayback Machine has archived the website from as far back as the year 2000, there are sources that claim that the website is much older than originally thought. Archived fan sites from the time of the websites launch point that the site was launched closer to June of 1999.[1] The interview with Katy Kat was uploaded in 2010 and is in somewhat poor quality. Sources such as Reddit claim that all four interviews were once hosted on YouTube back in 2010, but were taken down.[2]

On May 11th, 2022, graphic artist Rodney Alan Greenblat, known for making the visual style of Parappa the Rappa and UmJammer Lammy, uploaded the Katy Kat, Ma-San, and Lammy interviews onto his YouTube channel, acknowledging their "lost" status on Twitter.[3]
