Jankenman is an anime series about the superhero ‘Jankenman’ who, with his powers, protects the people of Janken village from trouble. The anime originally aired in Japan from April 4th, 1991, until March 26th, 1992, with a total of fifty-one episodes. In 2009, an English dub of Janknman aired on Nickelodeon India as Adventures of Jakenman. Very little is known about the English dub of Jankenman due to the obscure nature of Jankenman with no clips from the series emerging.

Plot[edit | edit source]

Jankenman tells the story of a superhero named Jankenman who acquires special abilities in order to become a superhero. Throughout the series, Jankenman must defend a village that is petrified of Tricky, son of a notorious family, who wants to destroy Jankenman and steal his powers.[1]

Syndication[edit | edit source]

On September 21st, 2009, the first episode of Jankenman aired on Nickelodeon India and subsequent episodes would air from Mondays through Fridays at 7:30 PM. Aside from the airtime and channel that it broadcasted on, the only thing known about this dub is that Sharanya Menon was a voice actor in the Jankerman English dub.

Availability[edit | edit source]

No episodes of the English dub of Jankenman have surfaced since the show stopped airing on Nickelodeon India. Very little aside from one voice actor is even known about the Jankenman English dub.
