Status: Partially Found

Hello Friends! It's Sergio is an unfinished animated short film produced by RedLetterMedia. The titular character was created by Rich Evans and Mike Stoklasa, while Jay Bauman created the actual character design.

The film consisted of animated objects against otherwise still live-action backgrounds.

Plot

Sergio lives in an unnamed European country and does not want to enter the family business of sheepherding. Rather, he wants to make movies in America. Sergio also has a girlfriend and lives with a mother and abusive father. There also was character named Riggy who has died at some point prior to or during the film.

Status

The short film was largely unknown until August 21, 2017 when it was referenced and clips were shown of it in episode 56 of Best of the Worst (The Last Vampire on Earth).

The reason why the it was brought was because the episode's panel thought that the reviewed film's director, Vitaliy Versace, had several parallels to Sergio.

In the comments to the video, RedLetterMedia commented "Since everyone's going to ask: no, we can't upload the full version of the Sergio cartoon because it doesn't exist. It was a project that wasn't completed and the short clips of it you see in this episode is pretty much all that exists". This does indicate that most, but not all, footage of the short film has been released. Additionally, one clip shown in the Best of the Worst episode has audio of the panel discussion playing over it, making the original audio (if it was even recorded for that scene) unavailable.

Because of the film's prior obscurity and what RedLetterMedia said, the remaining footage and audio will not likely be released nor will the project likely be completed.
