The Famicom version was cancelled for unknown reasons. However, a prototype was sold to a collector in an unknown year for 200,000 yen. It's unknown what this person will do with it.

Gameplay

The computer's thinking time is further reduced, allowing the player to enjoy smoother gameplay. Also, the prepared mode, if cleared, gives the player the joy of earning a Japan Shogi Association certified dan right at home. Four difficulty settings let the player play according to their skill level. The computer's strength is approximately 2nd dan, and thinking time for one hand is about 10 seconds.

The player is able to earn a dan right from home. First move, second move, hisha ochi (without rook), and kaku ochi (without bishop) among other various configurations are possible. Through the game, the player can win a real genuine dan.[1]
