Status: Partially Lost

Equals Three (also stylized as =3) is an internet series created by Youtuber Ray William Johnson in 2009 and would go on to become one of the most popular internet series' in the history of YouTube.[1] Johnson hosted the show from February 2009 until March 2014, where he retired as host but stayed as a writer.[2] The show would go on for two more years with three different hosts until the show entered a hiatus in May 2016, the most recent episode of the show being "Friday The 13th" that was uploaded on May 13th, 2016.

The show's many installments are still on Ray William Johnson's YouTube channel as of the writing of this article but several episodes are missing.

Availability

Although a lot of the show's installments are available on YouTube (sometimes retitled), many of them are no longer viewable. The Equals Three fandom wiki lists all of the show's episodes of the show but the thumbnails for some of the missing videos are what all that remains of them.

Season Three (2011)

Season Three has a famous missing video titled "THUG JEDI". It is the eleventh episode of the third season and features Ray reviewing a video where black thugs are fighting with lightsabers. This video was likely taken down because Ray says "damn nigga" through out the video in reference to a phrase a thug says in the video. The video has since become a meme with many memes featuring a clip of Ray saying "damn nigga" then swinging a lightsaber at the camera. For a time the only way the full video could be viewed was through a reaction video that user Niko Zguri uploaded on January 24th, 2016 and it provides a clue as to when the video was taken down since in the reaction video, the Thug Jedi video is being viewed on YouTube when it was still up. The full video has since been uploaded to Google Drive.
