Deux Romains en Gaule (Two Romans in Gaul in French) is an animated/live-action TV special released in 1967. The film is noteworthy for containing the first on-screen animated depiction of the comic book characters Astérix and Obélix.
For years, the film was not released in any home video format, only receiving intermittent screenings in worldwide cinemas (including a 2007 screening honoring writer René Goscinny's death).
However, Wildslide Studios released the film on DVD and Blu-Ray on February 20th, 2013, making the film officially available.
