Is this really lost?

Sure it's trickier to find a rip online and is not in print currently. But it had an official DVD release and multiple copies are for sale right now on Ebay. It sells a copy a month so it's not even one that got a release but is never available. You probably could search deeper to find a pirated copy somewhere, but even if you didn't you can just buy a not terribly expensive DVD.
