Biggs' Adventure was a matinee event for Kidtoon Films movies that were shown at Regal theaters. The movies that were a part of it were Candy Land: The Great Lollipop Adventure, Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland, and The Golden Blaze.

Summary

Many contemporary accounts of the trailers for Biggs' Adventure exist, along with some recollections many years later. Most people who saw the trailers saw them before showings of The Incredibles at Regal theaters, although they were also shown before Pooh's Heffalump Movie.[1]

The trailers involved a genius girl[2] (named something like Eadie),[3] and two boys, one who is the girl's bratty or stupid brother, and one who is a genius mechanic. Each trailer ended with a stomping sound and a "Coming Soon" announcement.[2]

In one trailer, each character was introduced with a short description [2] and a personal motto. One character (apparently named something like "rya")[3] had the motto "I could've built Rome in a day," and other mottos may have included "I can do anything" and "I live for this." [4][5]

At some point, the kids build a "hero machine" (possibly as a science project[6]) and it may have been used on the bratty/stupid brother. [4][7][8]

In another trailer, the girl takes the two boys to see something. She calls out to Biggs in a tree, but the other kids can't see him.[1][2][8] Yet another trailer shows a mouse walking across the ground, when a series of footsteps shake the ground. The camera then zooms out to reveal the logo for Biggs' Adventure. [2][9]

One of the final trailers features the same scene as the trailer where the kids go to see Biggs, except this time Biggs' eye (and possibly his whole face) is visible poking out through the trees.[2][8][10] In addition to these trailers, one viewer reported a trailer where the three kids sit down to watch the movie, in which two of them argue and the third wants them to stop.[2]

Reception to the trailers was mostly negative, with almost all contemporary reports complaining about the sheer number of trailers shown and their poor quality. [11]

While the above trailers have yet to be found, previews for the three movies that were shown as part of the event beginning with a bumper consisting of the logo for Biggs' Adventure, with a voiceover saying "Biggs' Adventure is the place to be for weekend matinees" have been found. Additionally, the website for Biggs' Adventure has been archived, though its images aren't. There is, however, a screenshot for what the website would have looked like, depicting Biggs himself, found as part of the trademark listing for Biggs' Adventure.
