Bar Rescue is a reality TV show that first aired on Spike in 2011. The show revolves around Jon Taffer traveling to various bars in need of repair or funding and helping the owners out. Over 100 episodes of the show have been made, including an episode that wasn't supposed to air titled "Music City Mess".

Plot & Controversy

Originally set to air on November 24th, 2013, the plot of the episode involved Taffer going to a bar named "BoondoxXx BBQ & Juke Joint" to help the owner, Chris Ferrell, get it back on its feet.

However, a night before the episode was set to air, Chris shot and killed country singer Wayne Mills after he, according to Chris, "violated the bar's nonsmoking rule and had threatened to kill him with a broken beer bottle". He claimed it was in self-defense, but he was arrested on charges of second-degree murder for 20 years with no parole.[1]

With this incident, Spike decided not to air the episode at all and instead aired a rerun of "Hole in None". However, the "encore" airing for the episode was accidentally aired on the network three hours later. After that error, the episode was never aired again.

Availability

However, on June 4th, 2015, Vimeo user some dude uploaded the episode in two parts, making it available for viewing. It would, however, be taken down at an unknown time. An Archive.org upload of the episode would remain, though.
