Asi Se Juega Mario & Sonic en los Juegos Olímpicos London 2012 were a series of 17 television bumpers aired on the Mexican television channel Canal 5 during The London 2012 Summer Olympics. The bumpers had the purpose to promote Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games but had the additional purpose of educating uninformed and younger audience on how each sport played alongside it's rules.

In around July of 2012, Ken Balough, Digital Brand Manager at SEGA of America made the following announcement: En SEGA estamos orgullosos de asociarnos con Televisa Deportes y 3nMedia durante los Juegos Olímpicos Londres 2012.

As the announcement suggest, this was a collaboration between SEGA of America (Game Developer), Televisa (Broadcaster) and 3nMedia (Marketing), Although Mario appears in theses bumpers, it's unclear how much involvement Nintendo had in this effort.

Availability

The only known surviving footage to prove it's existence are YouTube videos from KidVG which is a reaction video from a recording of the live broadcast uploaded by MarioTanooki 595 (Channel & video seem to be deleted), and AlanWarpZone's recording of the broadcast. Other than these videos, full length high quality access of theses bumpers are lost but were once available in the Televisa Deportes website (website subpage is currently removed)

Notes

By using the WayBack Machine, on the Televisa Deportes website on July 14-30, 2012, a video on the right can be seen featuring a backfacing Mario alongside an original Mario Bros. logo. The video is unavailable to watch. In 2019, Televisa Deportes changed its name to TUDN
