Arirang is a 1926 film. [1] This film was directed by Ra Un-Gya and starred Woon-gyu Na in the lead role. [2] Its country of origin is South Korea. This film is about a man's visit to a friend's house in the countryside, where he falls in love with the daughter. [3]

This is an important film because it has always been regarded as a masterpiece of early Korean cinema. There is even an annual film festival and celebration of the film in South Korea, which is allegedly held on the original film set.

The film is known, like many other silent Korean films, to likely be lost permanently in the destruction of the Korean War. In 2005, there was a rumor that the film could be found in a recently deceased Japanese film collector's collection, but no further news was heard of these developments.
