101 Dalmatians is a live-action remake of the 1961 animated film of the same name released on November 27th, 1996, by Walt Disney Pictures. It was directed by Stephen Herek and co-produced by John Hughes and Ricardo Mestres. It also starred Glenn Close as the main villain, Cruella DeVil.
Around late 1995/early 1996, Disney started promoting the film with a teaser trailer that started out with famous landmarks painted white with black spots (representing the colors of a dalmatian), including the Sydney Opera House, the Stonehenge, and the Arc de Triomphe.
