Status: Partially Found

"Life Sucks" is an unfinished episode of Ren & Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon" for Spike TV. Even though the first part of the storyboard was pretty much finished, the status of the rest of the storyboard for the entire episode remains unknown. The episode's plot revolves around the meaning of optimists and pessimists: Stimpy believes that the whole world and life is all nothing but pure happiness, while Ren believes that everything is evil, filled with deaths and whatnots. To convince Stimpy to become pessimistic about the world and life itself, Ren tells him the story of Children's Crusade that's shown in an art style similar to Golden Books.

Many Spumco employees considered it the best Ren & Stimpy episode ever written. The episode was intended to be the seventh/eighth episode of Ren & Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon", but after the show's cancellation due to poor ratings, the episode was shelved away in its incomplete state. Despite being unfinished, many fans theorized that "Life Sucks" was a prequel to the episode "Ren Seeks Help" since John K stated that Ren must've done something horrible to Stimpy in an early scene from that episode but didn't elaborate on it. This theory has not been confirmed nor denied.

Although only 8 minutes of the cartoon's animatic have been released, John K. has posted several sketches of additional scenes not in the animatic to his blog, implying that there's more of the episode than the footage we currently have access to. It is also possible that the animatic publicly available is all that was finished, with the remaining storyboards not having been turned into part of the animatic.[1]
